Sie gilt in Fachkreisen als Expertin für Aquarienpflanzen. Auf vielen Tropenreisen hat sie die Wasserpflanzen an ihren natürlichen Standorten studiert und neue wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse gewonnen.
