Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility are often seen as unrelated, sometimes even as conflicting management concepts, whose guidelines, standards and monitoring mechanisms have evolved separately and independently from each other. Recent research points to an increasing interplay and convergence of these two approaches, turning the social responsibility of corporations from a cosmetic add-on into a strategic governance topic.
