Gender und Queer Studies in der Sozialen Arbeit

Reflecting on gender is not an optional field of research, but rather a constitutive component of professional, human rights-oriented social work. It calls for questioning existing norms, analysing power relations and actively developing practices in a gender-equitable manner. This anthology aims to strengthen the political positioning of gender-reflective social work in the sense of solidarity within a democratic civil society and thus contributes to the theoretical development, professionalisation and socio-political responsibility of social work.
